Description
Joel Trevino joined the United States Navy and spent a year as a physical therapist at Naval Hospital Great Lakes. He was able to have his wife and children with him and enjoyed the work there. For the next three years, he served on the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy as an aviation storekeeper. The ship patrolled the Atlantic coast to prevent enemies from approaching the US Coast. The ship was also assigned off the shores of Europe and the Mediterranean area from where aircraft took off and landed.
