Description
Ula Cobb's father and oldest brother came to Utah from Denmark. He sent money for the rest of the family to make the trip the following year when Ula was 4. Discussion includes her impressions of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. In Brigham City her father worked for Horsleys, and the family spent 5 years working on the Horsley ranch at Promontory. They later lived at several locations in Brigham. After her marriage, the couple stayed in town. She remembered downtown businesses, early Peach Days celebrations, her sons going to war, and changes in the community through the years.
