Black Flint Drill point

Anthropological

Identifier:
2011.26.8
Description
Black flint drill point section. Broken at both ends but is too thick to be a possible projectile point. From edge to edge it is considerably thinner than many of the other points in this collection yet very thick in the center were the center ridge goes down almost like the shape of an eye. Tapering from thickest to thinnest end is very gradual and the edges are very dull either by design or through use. Also possibly of Shoshone origin.
