Description
Brigham City's first City Council, and some other city (church?) officials. Left to right: Abraham Hunsaker, Alvin Nichols, Hans P. Jensen, William Box, Mayor Chester Loveland, Ephraim Wight, William L. Watkins, John D. Rees, Jonathon C. Packer, and John D. Burt.
On the back is written: "Co. Chester Loveland (standing). First mayor of Brigham City, Utah; and his City board." Note that while some of the men pictured were council members at that time, other City officials are also in the picture. There were never more than 5 people on the Council.
(Loveland was Mayor, and Nichols, Jensen, Box, Wight, and Rees were the council members. The others held various positions with the City.)
