Description
Discussion of early Brigham City businesses and transportation, personal and family history, lifestyle. His father was a musician and played the piano to accompany silent movies in Liberty Theater. Both his parents taught music lessons. Family was poor and worked different jobs to make ends meet. Walt worked at sugar factory, then at Baron Woolen mills, and became County Deputy Treasurer. He completed law school in four years through a correspondence course and practiced law in building now occupied by Wells Fargo Bank (originally Co-op Mercantile Store) for 47 years. He remembered other offices and businesses in building and impact of Bushnell Hospital on community. Worked as an attorney for Thiokol, was County Attorney 10 years, and attorney for Board of Education 49 years.
