Description
Experiences in Dental Training and Practice History of Mary P. Reeder, the first Brigham City woman to obtain a dental degree. Her role model, Dr. Ella Valentine, learned dentistry while working in the office of a dentist and took over his practice when he retired. Mary attended the University of Utah for pre-dental training and completed dental school in San Francisco, California. Discussion includes difficulty of being a woman in a primarily men's field, and her practice of dentistry in Brigham City for 25 years.
