Description
Julie Beard and her husband David had 5 sons, 4 of whom served in the military foreign service. She gave a mother's perspective of sending these sons off to serve their country. She described the worry and fear, but also the benefits to her sons. She particularly liked the training which resulted in good jobs after their service. For example, one son served in a medical squad in Germany and now works in a civilian hospital as an operating room technician. Another was a mechanic in Korea and became a truck mechanic. She is glad they served, but relieved they are all safely back in the U.S.
