Notebook - Front reads "John K. Whitney, Council Bluffs, November 23, 1846." The writing on the cover is almost all rubbed off. This book has a light brown leather over cardboard cover. The book contains account records from Council Bluffs, lines from a play which John Whitney participated in with other pioneers soon after arriving in Salt Lake Valley in 1847, and other details.Journal presented to John K. Whitney by Heber C. Kimball at Platte River 1847.
