Golden Spike Monument. It was placed in 1917 to commemorate the driving of the Golden Spike in 1869. The house behind the monument belonged to F.C. Houghton Family. It was built in 1912 for Mrs. Katie Houghton and was known as "the Blue House" by the locals who lived in Promontory.Golden Spike National Historic Site Promontory, Utah
