Description
Ruby Harper worked at Intermountain Indian School for 21 years, during which time she was an instructional aide in various dormitories (girls', boys' and honor dorm) and later worked on payroll and budget in the school's Care Center. Discussion includes enrichment activities she prepared for the students, such as knitting instruction, preparing dinners with formal table settings or student field trips. Her favorite trip was touring an old mine in Park City. She also told of conflicts associated with converting the school from all Navajo to inter-tribal students.
