Description
Lillian Trujillo of the Navajo tribe came to work at Intermountain Indian School in 1950, during its first year of operation. She came alone and was frightened by the change of environment, but she adapted to the work at the boarding school where she was a guidance attendant in a boy's dorm. She quickly found enjoyment and joy in her work. During summers she commuted to Utah State University in Logan, Utah to learn more about dealing with the students under her care.
