Description
William & Darlene Skenandore met when they worked at Intermountain Indian School and were married in the chapel there. William worked on the construction crew converting the WWII military hospital into an Indian boarding school. He later worked in Procurement and Supply, a department which obtained everything necessary for the school's operation. Darlene was a stenographer in the administrative area, beginning in the construction period and continuing well into the time the school was running. The Bureau of Indian Affairs transferred them to Alaska and later to Shiprock, Arizona. After retirement they returned to Brigham City and now live in Perry, Utah.
