Description
circa 1930s ladies girdle. This girdle is made a peach brocade, with wooden or cardboard stays. There are large bands of elastic on the back, and smaller elastic portions at the front. There are suspenders that hang down to attach stockings to. The corset attaches in the front with a combination of different types of hooks, and it also laces up the back with a lace that is very similar to a shoelace. The narrowest part of the girdle measures 27" around, while the widest is 34 inches.
