Description
Brigham City Fire Department. was located at 6 North Main Street. 16 men dressed in a button up shirt, bowtie, light colored pressed pants, wearing muir hat or peaked hat style dress visor. The men are standing/sitting on a Brigham City Fire Truck with the original city courthouse in the background on the right side of the photo.  The building was constructed in 1909 at a cost of about $7,000, and originally housed the city fire department on the main floor and city offices on the second floor. It also had a jail cell in the southeast corner and “hobo apartments” in the basement. In 1935 the fire department moved out, and the fire truck bay on the facade was replaced with the existing brick facade.  The building is on the National Register of HIstoric Places.
