Description
A memo that details the reason that John H. Burt, City Marshal, had sent a bill of $8.25 to a furniture company. By accident, he had believed that two blankets and a mattress were donations that they could keep after the Influenza Pandemic passed. It turned out that Mrs. Harold C. Day intended to have these items returned to her. The police department paid for a new mattress for her once the error was realized.
