Description
Ralph Olsen was in the 222nd Field Artillery, 40th Division, having been part of the Utah National Guard. He did mop-up procedure after the Marines had moved out of such Pacific Islands as Guadalcanal, New Britain and the Marshall Islands. About the time his division was ready to go to Japan, he had enough points to be discharged.
