Description
Max Muir was a civilian employed at Hill Air Force Base as a supervisor in aircraft instruments. During WWII, he participated in a top-secret operation developing refrigeration for bombs made with deuterium, which had to be cold. His discussion includes the air base at Wendover, Utah, testing bombs at Yucca Flat, Nevada, and his assignment as an Air Force representative at Thiokol during missile motor development.
