Description
Betsy Beneke grew up on a farm where she loved the out-of-doors. Her mother, a bird-watcher, passed her love of birds to Betsy who eventually studied Wildlife in college. After graduation, she worked at refuges in Minnesota and Michigan before coming to the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge in Box Elder County, Utah. She arrived when the new Wildlife Education Center was almost finished. Betsy helped with ceh center's interior decor and exhibits. Her focus is outreach and public education about wildlife generally and the waterfowl at the Bear River Refuge specifically.
