Description
DeEsta Gunther began working with crayons as a child and changed to oil paintings at an early age. She has produced a large number of paintings, having sold between 400 and 500 works. she has also given paintings to friends and family members and has painted custom-made artworks as gifts for special occasions. For example, she painted a picture of a field in Perry, which Dale Young donated for a city park, and presented the painting to him. When her LDS ward chose a sweetheart couple each year she presented one of her paintings to the couple. She has taught oil painting to dozens of local students of all ages and currently teaches art at the Dale Young Community High School. DeEsta also makes quilts. One year presenting 100 baby quilts to for disaster victims. Other year she makes and donates full-size quilts.
