Description
Hiroyki Kano was born in the U.S. to Japanese parents who sent him bak to Japan for his schooling. As an American citizen he was drafted into military service during World War II. He worked first in a Medical Training Battalion. He also had instruction in Military Intelligence and in cooking. He was a cook at Camp Savage, preparing meals for the troops. While he was in the service, his family were taken from their farm in Auburn, Washington, and relocated in the Topaz Interment Camp near Delta, Uah.
