Page 176 "Is drinking Postum and kindred drinks a violation of the Word of Wisdom & home made beer."
1903-1904 includes many mentions of the "disagreement" between the LDS Church and Chris Christensen regarding the Pavilion/Dance Academy. Resolution is described as follows:
E.C. Wheatley, Prest. of the Academy of Dancing & Music to make a statement in Tabernacle expressing his regrets in behalf of their company for whatever they have done towards bring about the existing conditions. The Academy Dances should be conducted under the directions of the Stake Amusement Committee apointed by the presidency of the Stake. The Opera House should not be seen in competition with the Dancing Academy. The Authorities should give encouragement to Dances in the Acdemy. The Box Elder Dancing Academy Co. should pay to the Stake Treasurer 25% of the net earnings of the Academy in lieu of the Opera House being closed & the Stake Authorities lending their support to the Academy. Two of the members of the Stake Amusement Comt. to be stockholders of the Academy & appointed by Stake Presidency. [ Page 112 - Wednesday, July 20th, 1904]

Much is made of those not paying tithing or children keeping the Word of Wisdom. Page 140, June 29, 1907, lists responses from several men regarding whether they were keeping the Word of Wisdom. About half were, others "not strictly" or not. Further, page 142, "Do not recommend men to House of the Lord who are habitual users of tobacco or strong drink."

Page 182, April 7, 1909 Special Priesthood meeting: "Sisters should not join Women's Clubs of the world. Our Relief Societies and YLMIA furnish available opportunities. Vote taken to work against saloons. Support Wandermere in your amusements."
Page 186, May 26, 1909: "Non-Mormons in the following Wards, Dec. 31, 1908: 1st Ward Brigham 40, 2nd 30, 3rd 19, 4th 33, Total in town 122."
By 1913/14, talk about the Word of Wisdom wanes and is replaced by condemnations of those still performing plural marriages.
Page 328, Jany. 24, 1915: "Met with the Betterment League and prepared & sent out petitions to all wards in Stake except distant wards, Park Valley & Rosette, asking the Legislature now in session to pass Senate Bill #50 prohibiting the manufacture & sale of intoxicating beverages in the State of Utah. I brought said petition to 3rd Ward & presented same to officers & teachers & parents. Got in the school 50 signatures."
Also includes items related to his personal affairs, including his business, and trips to see doctors for own or relations' health. One trip to Mayo Clinic included visits along the way home to Kirtland and Nauvoo.
