Cephus Elmer Anderson on his LDS mission in Norway around the time of World War I. Photo is of five men. Cephus is standing at back row on the left. Other men are (back row): Cephus Anderson, Edward Stromness, Andrew Dahlsrud, Hans J. Christansen, and Robert Bischoff. Back two men are standing, front row sitting. All wearing nice jackets and vests. No hats. Man in center front row is sitting in white chair.Cephus was born May 25, 1879, at Bear River City, a son of Nephi P. and Vlaria K. Jensen Anderson. He was married to Cora Bell Tingey on Dec. 17, 1902, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died in September of 1957. He died Friday April 23, 1971 at the Golden Manor Rest Home in Ogden after a three-month illness.
He had lived at Garland where he owned and operated a farm. He moved to Brigham City in 1946 at the time of his retirement. He served an LDS Mission to Norway from 1916-18. He was a past president of 153rd Quorum of Seventies, served two stake missions in the Bear River Stake and served a tabernacle mission for the Box Elder Stake for 11 years. He was a high priest in the Brigham City 1st Ward.
