Description
Dale Hooper enlisted in the Navy during the Vietnam War and went to Vietnam twice. The first time was on a Landing Ship Tank (LST) which took supplies and equipment to the troops. He was a damange control man and ships's carpenter, keeping the ship in good repair. He returned to the States and was subsequently sent back to Vietnam on a Landing Ship Dock (LSD). Servicemen's bodies were delivered to this ship in bsg to be identified and kept in the ship's morgue until they could be taken home.
