Deloss Everton oral history interview
1934 – 2008
October 2 2008
Deloss Everton grew up in Brigham City where his father ran a family business, The Mattress Factory. He told of working there as he grew up and of other Main Street businesses. Discussion includes World War II and the establishment of Bushnell Hospital to treat war victims and the conversion of that facility to an Indian boarding school. The Mattress Factory received a contract to produce mattresses for all the Indian students' beds. Deloss eventually bought the factory, and he and his wife Lois ran it for a time. He was also an engineer at Thiokol (now ATK).
